A Familiar Face?

To be honest, I'm not sure what to call him. WNW's version is Winston, but I've already got a Winston. Maybe it could be like that Oliver/Oliver situation poked at in SLOTLT. Most fans seem to like to call him Eagle as a nod to the ERS since the original version of the ERS had him using the same basis as the unknown red engine. As much as I like to wink and nod at the ERS by using a Class 76, this red engine, the Works Diesel and Vicarstown Railway Museum in my headcanon, I still feel just a tad guilty about it. Don't get me wrong, the ERS is a marvelously written series by the collective members of SiF and I love it all, but all the same I just don't want people to get the wrong impression that I'm ripping them off. I'm not, honestly. It's just all clever little references. I mean, Ryan seems totally fine with people calling the Red Engine Eagle; he said so in his article about it; about how fanon has become a widely accepted headcanon.

And then you have the unofficial continuation version from Sir Topham Twitter- that he's a Johnson 3F instead! Plus there's Brownyn- the red engine that and I brainstormed up together- though since it's his sprite and his story series I give him all of the credit

What do you think I should do, guys? Should I continue making small references to the ERS like this or just change it completely?
